GeekGear: Harry Potter – November 2016

GeekGear have two boxes available and the sister box to their original is the fabulous Harry Potter subscription box full of goodies perfect for any Harry Potter fan. Every month you will receive 5-10 items in the Harry Potter box and if you already subscribe to GeekGear the price is £19.99 and if you don’t it is £24.99. Every month has a good variety of collectable Harry Potter themed items and if you are a fan this really is a dream subscription box. In every box there is always a t-shirt included so don’t forget to add in your t-shirt size when you register for the box as this is a great way to have a supply of Harry potter t-shirts to choose from.

First out of the box was the platform 9 ¾ Metal Wall Sign which would look amazing on any wall and it’s great to see a piece of wall art that is so sturdy and collectable. Next out the drinks cup with ‘I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good’ on the front and while I love the style of this cup I do wish it were a little more sturdy rather than plastic, especially as it’s specifically made for hot drinks.

When you subscribe to the Harry Potter box make sure you choose which Hogwarts house you support as in many of the boxes they will send you certain items based upon your preference. This month it was the Hogwarts Prefect Pin Badge in whichever house colour you support, it’s a real collectors item and a lovely piece to own. With some beautiful artwork and illustrations, the next addition in the box was a Harry Potter Calendar for 2017 which is useful and amazing looking. Another house preference next and with the colours of your house a poster for the wall with “Keep Calm And Be A Ravenclaw/Slytherin/Hufflepuff/Gryffindor “ it looks great on the wall and I love the simple design.

Ideal for birthday gifts to give a Harry Potter fan that something special to decorate it with – the Hogwarts Ribbon. GeekGear have listened to their fans and have included another Hogwarts ribbon in this month’s box duo to popular demand. It really is lovely and quite thick and I am loathe to cut it to fit any gift as it feels so special! Another item for the wall and this time it’s a double sided print, versatile and colourful with one side a print of Hogwarts School and the other a print of Platform 9 ¾. On good quality card both images look great on the wall.

Wrapped in a cardboard tube was another piece to add to the wall in the form of this Proclamation Poster with “ Proclamation Educational Decree No 31 Boys And Girls Are Not Permitted To Be Within 8 Inches Of Each Other” a great poster to have on the wall -on especially if you have teenagers! Lastly the monthly t-shirt and this month you either receive the white or purple ‘I Solemnly Swear I Am Up To No Good” t-shirt which I feel is great value and a good quality cotton t-shirt.

So there you have it for another month and what a jam packed box full of Harry Potter goodies, I am so looking forward to seeing what will be in the next edition, if you are too make sure you keep an eye out on the GeekGear social sites for some hints on what will be included.
