I was sent this month’s Crave Box to review, so let’s jump straight in!

Hot Shots Pack – 3 Craft Hot Sauces from Mushemi Fire

In the Taste and Crave Boxes, you’ll receive a triple pack of Hot Shots which features three small try-me jars of hot sauces from a craft producer. This month’s collaboration is with Mushemi Fire who have included three of their bestsellers, all of which are made to authentic Zambian recipes.

JUJU is an extremely hot chilli relish made with key ingredients of Onions, 22% Scotch Bonnet Chillies, 3% Piri Piri Chillies and Zambian Honey. It packs a punch in the heat department and certainly helps to liven up burgers and sandwiches!

CHAR is a BBQ chilli sauce which is deliciously smokey with hints of subtle spice and sweetness. I really like this one as a tasty dipping sauce that goes with just about everything.

ZWAO is my favourite of the three and is an incredibly hot and fiery Piri Piri chilli sauce made with 51% Scotch Bonnet and Piri Piri Chillies. I sometimes like to tone it down a notch and mix it with a bit of mayo depending on what mood I’m in!

Upton Cheyney Megalodon Hot & Fruity Chilli Sauce

This quirky Megalodon Hot Sauce is not be underestimated as the name and imagery should suggest! It’s a very, very, very hot chilli sauce made with 7 pot Habanero Chillies and a whole host of different fruit juices that will set your mouth on fire in the best possible way. At first, you taste all the lovely fruit flavours and then the heat really sets in at the back of the throat! Great for splashing (sparingly) on meat and veggie dishes.

Prices Spices Bombay Potatoes Spice Mix

Bombay potatoes are one of my favourite sides to order whenever I have an Indian takeaway, so I was really looking forward to trying out this spice mix and it didn’t disappoint. It was very easy to use and made a super tasty dish of spicy Bombay potatoes that was enough for four people. I’d definitely pick up these packets again!

Wildings Habanero Chilli & Lemongrass Duck Crackling

I passed these onto my housemates as I’m a vegetarian, and they were very keen to try it as duck crackling isn’t something that you come across everyday, is it?! Triple cooked, the crackling pieces are heavily seasoned in a hot Habanero Chilli and Lemongrass flavour which was a little too hot for some who tried it, but my sister loved it!

New York Delhi Mumbai Mix

For a savoury snack, you can’t beat some Bombay mix and this pack from the New York Delhi is their Hot & Spicy Mumbai Mix which is far spicier and far tastier than any Bombay mix that I’ve tried before! Perfect with a cold drink to nibble on before or after a night out.

Flaming Licks Fiery Italian Cheese Bagel Croutons

The first product that was consumed the fastest from this month’s box were these super moreish Fiery Italian Cheese Bagel Croutons. Covered in a tasty seasoning mix of Naga Chili and Italian cheeses, these baked jalapeno bagel crouton pieces were mouthwateringly good and had an enjoyable amount of heat to them.

Flaming Licks Smoked Chilli & Onion Marmalade

Lastly, this Smoked Chilli & Onion Marmalade was something of a ‘marmite’ product for my household. I really enjoyed the sweet and smokey texture and flavour of this marmalade, especially as a way to liven up cheese sandwiches, but some of my housemates weren’t keen on it at all. Definitely a love/hate thing!

Our score: 9.4/ 10

This month's Crave Box from Flaming Licks is a diverse and interesting variety of hot sauce and chilli products with different levels of chilli heat throughout. My personal faves were the Fiery Croutons, the Mushemi Fire ZWAO Hot Sauce, and that tasty Prices Spices Bombay Potatoes spice mix - yum!
