Degustabox – October 2018

Degustabox is one of my favourite food and drinks subscription boxes, and it’s also one of the most popular in the UK (not to mention abroad too!). I always look forward to opening these boxes every month because they are packed full of exciting products, many of which are new releases. I think these boxes are especially great for families and students because they offer excellent value for money and there’s always something for everyone.

This month’s Degustabox is themed the Winter Warmer Box, so let’s take a closer look at the goodies!

Lift Instant Lemon Flavour Tea (RRP £1.49)

October’s product of the month is Lift Instant Lemon Flavour Tea. This popular classic is a favourite for many and can be enjoyed hot or cold. Simply add water and hey presto – you have instant Lemon flavour tea! A great product to have in your tea cupboard and it contains added Vitamin C too.

KitKat Chunky Salted Caramel Fudge (RRP £0.65)

New from KitKat is this delicious Salted Caramel Fudge flavour for their Chunky bars. I’m a huge fan of anything that’s salted caramel flavour and this one has a yummy extra sweetness from the fudge element, so it’s even more delicious!

Heinz Creationz Mexican Beanz (RRP £1.75)

I think this might also be another new product as I haven’t seen it in the shops yet. Part of the Heinz Creationz range, these handy microwaveable pouches make a tasty lunch or dinner side when you’re short on time and need something filling fast. I like the look of this Mexican Beanz blend as I often make tacos at home, so I’m looking forward to trying these out soon.

Jack Daniel’s Tennesse Honey & Lemonade (RRP £2 each)

When you sign up to Deugustabox you can choose between an alcohol or non-alcohol box, so if you’ve picked the former, you’ll receive two cans of Jack Daniel’s Tennesse Honey & Lemonade this month. This is a very refreshing and zesty drink, with the addition of a little Jack Daniel’s Honey Liqueur to give it an extra sweet kick.

Upbeat Drinks Summer Lemon + Blueberry & Raspberry (RRP £1.59 each)

How cool is the packaging for these Upbeat drinks? These Spring Water-based drinks are enriched with protein and a range of vitamins to help give you a boost at any time of the day and they’re perfect for those who need some extra strength, energy and mental performance, so if you’re a gym-goer, these are a must-try.

Santa Maria Latin American Kitchen Venezulan Coconut & Lime Sauce (RRP £1.89)

If you need a quick and easy ready made sauce to liven up your dinner, these ones from Santa Maria Latin American Kitchen are very useful to keep in the kitchen cupboard. Ready in just 15 minutes, you simply pour them over your favourite meat, fish and veggies dish and enjoy the latin flavours! I’ve tried this one before and it’s very tasty, especially with Quorn chicken pieces and stir-fried veggies, plus they’re vegan-friendly and gluten-free.

Get Fruity Moist Mixed Berry Bar (RRP £0.70)

For a healthy snack that you can pop into your bag, this award-winning Berry Bar is packed full of real fruit and whole grain oats. It’s baked, gluten-free and contains no artificial ingredients, so this is perfect if you need something to beat the afternoon slump at work or as a quick breakfast on the go.

Supermalt Ginger Beer (RRP £1.19)

I haven’t had Ginger Beer in ages so this was a blast from the past for me flavour-wise! This one by Supermalt is made using real Ginger and Lemongrass extracts to give it a fiery, refreshing kick. Enjoy on its own or as a mixer for your favourite cocktails.

Clipper Fairtrade Everyday Tea (RRP £2.89)

Clipper is one of my favourite tea brands so I was very happy to see this huge 80 teabags box this month – it also includes a free tea towel inside the pack! Winner of a Great Taste Award, this fairtrade tea is made with just pure and natural ingredients (even the bags are unbleached), and it makes the perfect cuppa every time.

Shreddies Breakfast On The Go (RRP £1.99)

New from Shreddies is this all-in-one Breakfast On The Go pack which features a portion of Original Shreddies with a carton of milk. Packed in a recyclable cup with a spoon, this is a breakfast that you can assemble and enjoy within seconds of sitting down at your desk or during your morning train commute.

Spoon Granola in Cherry Bomb

As a bonus product this month, I received a pack of Spoon Granola in Cherry Bomb flavour. This wholegrain oat-based granola is high in fibre and contains no refined sugar for a healthier breakfast option that will keep you going until lunchtime. I really love this Cherry Bomb flavour and would definitely buy it again!
