One of my favourite and more unusual subscription boxes has to be the Craftiosity boxes. Craftiosity is a UK based crafting box which contains a new project every month for you to create! I’ve adored the bath bomb and candle making kits, they are my favourites but I think this kit has made it to my favourites as well.
The project for the September box is to make a macrame plant hanger which is something I’ve actually want to try for a while! Macrame looks amazing and I never thought I’d make a macrame hanger but I’m so happy I have one now. The kit comes with everything you need to make your project, apart from a few basis that you’ll already own such as scissors.
I haven’t made anything like this before and I actually very throughly enjoyed it and it was very quick and easy to make when you get the hang of creating the half and full square knots with the macrame rope. The instructions didn’t do it for me this month so I watched the youtube video tutorial. In the future I’ll definitely be watching the videos instead of reading the instructions. The video was so well made and very easy to follow.
Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my macrame hanger as it was a very relaxing product to make, it was also quite easy and quick as it only took me around 40 minutes to fully finish. The hardest part of the process was the gathering knot but other than that it was very relaxing and nice to take some time out to make something new. I’m so happy with this months kit and the lovely macrame plant hanger I’ve made!
