Gin of the Month: Micil Spiced Orange Irish Gin (42% ABV / 70cl)
A special edition made exclusively for Craft Gin Club, this amazing Spiced Orange Irish Gin from Micil Distillery is made in Galway, Ireland. It’s been carefully selected by the team this month thanks to its warming autumnal qualities. The classic juniper-led gin is infused with botanicals such as Clove, Hawberry, Angelica, Bogbean, Lemon Peel, Coriander, Lemongrass, Orris, Cardamom, Elderflower, Cinnamon and of course, Orange, to name but a few.
Vibrant with aromatic spices and bright citrus fruits, it has a sweet flavour and lingers on the palate – the perfect gin for October!
Drinks & Mixers: The Soho Juice Blood Orange, Raspberry & Ginger drink, Troughtons Premium Indian Tonic Waters & Bibite Polara Green Mandarin
As always, there’s an amazing selection of drinks and mixers to try out. Try the Troughtons Premium Indian Tonic Water for a classic G&T, or experiment with Bibite Polara Green Mandarin in the Cocktail Of The Month recipe. For something soft and fizz-free, The Soho Juice ticks all the right boxes for a refreshing beverage.
Extras: The Banshee Cocktail Syrup, Angostura Orange Bitters & Blood Orange & Cardamon Garnish
Flavour is key and if you’re new to making cocktails, help is on hand with these lovely extras. Add a glug of The Banshee Cocktail Syrup with its ‘magic ingredient’ to spice things up, whilst a dash of Angostura Orange Bitters transforms ordinary drinks into extraordinary ones. Don’t forget the Blood Orange & Cardamom Garnish for extra flavour in your G&T as well!
Sweet & Savoury Snacks: Pipers Pitta Chips in Garlic & Herbs, Burts Guinness Crisps & Gnaw Irish Cream Milk Chocolate
The perfect nibbles to go with your drinks this month. I loved the Pipers crunchy Pitta Chips in Garlic & Herbs, and the Burts Guinness Crisps were surprisingly good too. My favourite, however, was the Gnaw Irish Cream Chocolate which is every bit as delicious and decadent as you can imagine – and a Craft Gin Club exclusive to boot!
