Cozy Candles supplies a monthly box of delicious-smelling wax melts. They have two options, six large melts (Cosy Pods) in different scents for £14.99 a month, or 24 mini melts in four different scents for £9.99.
The box itself comes in a mailing bag, which keeps it nice and neat. It’s also thin enough to fit through the mailbox.
On the top is a list of this month’s scents.
They’re also very nicely wrapped up – such a pleasure to open up!
Here are the six pods: Mango & Passion Fruit, Fresh Cut Grass, Lilac, Coconut Lime, Salted Grapefruit, and Wild Mint.
These are very large melts, 80g each, and apparently they each last around 80 hours. I can fit on in my large Haze melter, but for a smaller melter you’f have to break them in pieces, which they do very easily.
By way of size example, here’s one with a coin for comparison. Big, huh?
This month’s fragrances definitely have a summery tropical feel to them. My favourites are definitely the Mango & Passion Fruit and Coconut Lime, they make me want to drink cocktails in the sunshine!
The only one I’m not too sure about is the Salted Grapefruit. The Fresh Grass is very clever to include at the moment, because it’s been so hot and dry the grass isn’t growing at all! The Wild Mint is lovely and refreshing.
All the fragrances are impressively strong, without being overpowering. The linger nicely in the room.
These melts are all made by hand, and there is a rigorous safety testing of the ingredients. They are also suitable for vegans and totally safe for children and pets.
One advantage of wax melts is that they are much safer than scented candles. My warmer is electric, though you can also get warmers that have a tealight to melt the wax. Melts also release scent better then scented candles, as they are warmed slowly and gently and the oils don’t burn.
This is another lovely box. There scents are all seasonally appropriate, you’ve got some slightly more unusual scents. It’s a great way to discover new smells! Also the presentation is excellent, which is also a nice touch. Value-wise it’s terrific, you get a lot of bang for your buck.
