Cheese Posties Review

The weekly cheese subscription box

Well, we got a nice surprise in our mailbox today. A subscription box that we have been looking forward to since they announced their launch, the Cheeseposties subscription box. The ultimate cheeseporn! The first and only cheese sandwich subscription service. Yes, you heard it, it is absolutely what it says it is, a cheese festival between two pieces of bread!

The box itself is quite nice and slim. The packaging is at minimum yet enough to protect the products.

We received two boxes. If you are a subscriber you would receive only one a week.

Each of our boxes contained:

1. A guide to make the ultimate toasted cheese sandwich.
2. A small card which tells you what you are going to eat today.
3. The ingredients for your perfect sandwich, which includes bread and butter.

Our two sandwiches were:

– The Pig Magnifique with brie and bacon jam
– The Peanut Butter Jelly sandwich with cheddar, peanut butter and strawberry jam

Making the sandwiches were quite straight forward. All the ingredients are prepared and delivered in the right quantity, so you just have to spread them or lay them on the bread. The brie for instance, was already sliced. Making the sandwich took literally 30 seconds. Then you have to butter the outside of your sandwich and slip it into the toaster for 3 to 5 minutes. Et voilà!

In terms of taste both sandwiches were just unbelievable. I have to admit you must have to like sweet-savoury tastes. For us it was just heaven in our mouths. The melted brie was amazingly accorded to the bacon jam. The melted butter on the outside made it even more delicious. Of course no need for us to preach the classic jam and peanut butter sandwich. But we must admit the added melted cheddar elevated the experience.

Overall this is has been just an amazing experience. If you have a toaster at the office we definitely advise you to give it a try and share with you colleagues.

At £3.99 per week, the overall value for money is quite good knowing that the products seem of quality and delivery is free.

Now all this being said and even though we were so amazed by this subscription service, we would have really liked to have some information on the origin of the products. Wouldn’t it be nice to know that the brie you are eating is sourced from France or that the bread is organic. That’s the only reason we are giving a 4.5 stars over 5 on the product quality. Just to leave these guys some room for improvement :)

Now don’t be just a reader, we know your mouth is watering.
