This month’s Boxcitement theme is Animal Magic and the box is positively brimming with animal prints, little beasties and fun stationery. As always, the theme is really well thought out and there is a great selection of things in the box.
So what’s in there?
First off, there are two greetings cards with envelopes that have been specially designed for this month’s theme.
The first is a birthday, or “bearday” card, with a sweet illustration of a bear. I think this would be perfect for a child’s birthday as it’s really cute. It is blank inside for your own message. The second card works well for spring and Easter as it has an illustration of a chick done in a really modern geometric style, with the inside message reading “Have an eggcellent day”. This card would work well for lots of occasions or just as a note or to say hi to a friend.
Next up is a cute fabric embellished bird. This comes in its own little presentation bag and would look great hanging from a shelf using its little twine hanger.
I really love the set of animal-themed postcards and the Zebra print Cadoozle mini mechanical pencil. The style of the zebra and antelope cards is great and it almost seems a shame to send these in the post! I think these would work really well framed as mini prints for a child’s room or nursery if you’re going for a jungle theme. The ‘Hear Me Roar’ postcard is kitsch and fun as is the matching sticker. The mini pencil is brilliant and the fact that it’s a mechanical pencil is great as you can tuck it away in your pocket and not have to worry about the point breaking off.
The next item in the box has left me wishing that my ears were pierced so I could wear them! These engraved acrylic and silver plated neon orange bird earrings are super cute and I think they would look great on. Sadly not on me, though, but as they come in their own sweet little box they would make a perfect gift. They have been designed exclusively for Boxcitement too, so you won’t find them anywhere else!
I’m always on the lookout for fun and unique ways to wrap gifts and these two types of animal print tissue paper ticks those boxes. The tiger print is bold and the scale print is really unusual but cool at the same time.
Last but by no means least is this really cute laser-cut wooden bunny which is ready to push out and slot together. This is really easy to do and would be great to paint with your child or leave in the natural wood for a modern look.
I really loved the contents of this box and I could tell that the makers of Boxcitement had lots of fun designing this and putting it together. As always, all of the items in the box were well presented and wrapped, and I love the fact that this subscription box fits right through my letterbox – no pesky trips to the sorting office!
