LookFantastic Box – October 2017: Indulge Me

I always look forward to the LookFantastic boxes as for me they introduce me to new products and brands that I probably wouldn’t otherwise have tried. I also find the boxes great to re-use, I always love at least half of the products and some of the brands are usually quite high end.

The October LookFantastic box is the ‘indulge me’ box which contains six items including the following brands: Ciate, Model Co, Monu, Lancer, Bean Body and Skimono. Three of the products are very exciting, one is very unique and I don’t know how to feel about it and a couple are a little disappointing for me personally. I like the theme but I think they missed a trick by not creating a halloween themed box!

Skimono Hand Mask

Let’s start with the most unusual and unique product within the box and that is a hand mask…yes, I haven’t heard of hand masks before either. It is inspired by Asian beauty trends and it is enriched with shea butter, aloe vera and hyaluronic acid. It seems as though it will be a sheet mask style pair of gloves which I’m not sure how to feel about but I’m interested to give it a go.

Monu Firming Fiji Facial Oil

This is one of my slightly more disappointing products as this brand is a staple in beauty boxes and I think it’s a bit annoying to receive the same brand constantly. Additionally, while the product sounds like it will be great for my skin type and I think try it out, it’s a little boring. I think skincare is a far too prominent category of products for beauty boxes as I end up with drawers overflowing with mini skincare that I end up passing on. Rant over, sorry!

Lancer The Method: Polish

Another skincare item but this one is a little more interesting as it is Victoria Beckham’s go-to product. It’s a facial treatment to exfoliate, even out skin tone and scrub away dead skin cells. I haven’t heard of this brand before but I’m interested to give it a go.

Ciate London Wonderland Mascara

Now onto the more exciting products including a mascara from a brand that I’ve wanted to try for a while. Ciate cosmetics have been all over the blogging and beauty world since they released their makeup range and I’ve wanted to try something for ages! I love the cute packaging, it’s a great size and I’m liking this mascara so far!

Bean Body Coffee Bean Scrub

I love body scrubs, especially coffee scrubs so I can’t wait to use this one on a pamper evening! It contains coconut oil, vitamin E and sea salt and even though it sounds like a little more work to use than others (as you have to leave it to dry on the skin for five minutes), I hope it will be worth it. 

Model Co Instant Radiance Concealer

The final item is an interesting one and it’s an exclusive item to this box – you won’t see it anywhere else! I like the packaging, the shade is great for me and the coverage is fairly good. It looks a little dry under my eyes but on the whole it is a good everyday, all over concealer.
