The Vegan Kind – April 2020

The Vegan Kind is a monthly food and lifestyle box where all the products inside have been carefully chosen so that everything is 100% cruelty-free and of course, vegan-friendly! It’s a brilliant way to discover brands that you may not have come across before and it takes all of the hassle out of shopping when you don’t have to read the ingredients lists to check if they’re vegan or not.

April’s box is themed around Easter and is packed full of goodies – our box arrived later than usual due to the Covid-19 crisis as they are usually shipped earlier in the month, however, it’s well worth the wait! Here are the contents:-

Rhythm 108 Swiss Chocolate Mini Truffle Eggs (RRP £2.09)

Rhythm 108 are massively popular within the vegan community for bringing out some of the best vegan and gluten-free chocolate that you can buy, and these Mini Truffle Eggs are every bit as moreish as they sound! They have a melt-in-your-mouth texture and there are five eggs to enjoy in each bag.

Buttermilk Dairy-Free Hot Cross Bun Easter Fudge (RRP £2.99)

It doesn’t get more Easter friendly than a packet of Hot Cross Bun flavoured fudge does it?! This is one of the latest vegan launches from Buttermilk and with their delicious crumbly texture, I can’t wait to see more flavours from them in the near future.

Rebel Kitchen Chocolate Hazelnut Mylk (RRP £2.09)

Next up, I found a drink from Rebel Kitchen and I love it as I’ve tried it before. Their Chocolate Hazelnut Mylk has a Nutella-like flavour to it and it’s made from 100% organic, plant-based ingredients. Lovely and creamy!

Considerit Cream Egg Bar (RRP £2.40)

Handmade in Edinburgh by Considerit, this infamous Cream Egg Bar is crafted from rich Belgian Chocolate and filled with their unique vanilla cream egg centre which is like a sweet fondant – just like the real thing. Needless to say, this bar did not last long.

Qwrkee Cauliflower Probiotic Puffs (RRP £1.09)

Now these are new and different. For those who are looking for a healthier crisp alternative, Qwrkee’s Cauliflower Probiotic Puffs use 15% Cauliflower Powder and are 100% allergen-free. Packed full of flavour, they are also a source of plant-based protein thanks to the content of peas and fava beans.

Indie Bay Smokin’ BBQ Crunchy Pretzel Spelt Bites (RRP £1.25)

Another healthier savoury snack alternative are these Crunchy Pretzel Spelt Bites from Indie Bay. In a tasty Smokin’ BBQ flavour, they are only 99 calories per pack.

Friendly Soap Cocoa Butter Fragrance-Free Cleansing Bar (RRP £2.75)

The last product is a beauty treat for anyone who has sensitive, dry or eczema-prone skin. Made by Friendly Soap, this plastic-free and cruelty-free Cleansing Bar is packed full of Vitamin A, antioxidants and healthy fatty acids for a natural solid cleanser that’s free from parabens and palm oil. It’s wonderfully moisturising!
