Pink Parcel – September 2018: The Eve Edit

Pink Parcel is not only a practical way to get all of your period essentials delivered to your door every month (no more last minute trips to the shops – hooray!), but they also send you a special edit of beauty, pampering and lifestyle products, so it always feels like you’re getting two subscription boxes of goodies in one!

The Pink Parcel box is laid out into different sections, three of which are dedicated to your period essentials and you can choose which ones you’d like to receive from a list of options on their website when you sign up. All the big brands are available such as Tampax, Always and Bodyform and you can choose from pads, tampons or a mix of both.

As you can see above, there’s a ‘For Later’ box, one ‘For Night’ and a cute heart print drawstring bag ‘For Now’ so that you can easily pop them into your bag straight away. I opted for the Always pads option and received the Always Infinity Pads, Night Pads and Pantyliners.

This month’s theme is called The Eve Edit which is dedicated to The Eve Appeal, a charity that’s committed to raising awareness and funding research around the five types of gynaecological cancer – womb, ovarian, cervical, vulval and vaginal. This is especially important as September is Gynaecological Cancer Awareness Month.

Here’s everything else that’s included in the box:-

Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pencil in Black (deluxe/travel size – full size retails for £12)

Pixi are well known for their amazing skincare, but their makeup is definitely worth looking into as well. Their Endless Silky Eye Pencil glides on so smoothly and when it’s on, the waterproof formula won’t budge or smudge until you want to take it off. Free from parabens and preservatives, this is a brilliant eyeliner!

Skin Chemists Rose Quartz Youth Defence Lip Plump (RRP £24.90)

Worth nearly £25 on its own, this full-size Skin Chemists Rose Quartz Youth Defence Lip Plump features a hydrating formula which deeply nourishes and leaves lips glossy and more plumped up. It has a tingling sensation when first applied thanks to its star ingredient, Peppermint Oil.

Percy & Reed Radiance Revealing Invisible Dry Shampoo (50ml travel size, full size retails for £12.50)

I love dry shampoo as I only properly wash my hair once or twice a week, so this is an essential for me to refresh my hair between washes. I’ve tried this one from Percy & Reed in the past and really loved it because it doesn’t leave any white residue afterwards so can be used by all hair colours. This travel size can is great for popping into gym bags too.

Beauty Pro Nourishing Collagen Mask with Olive Extract (RRP £4.95)

Next up, I found a sheet mask from Beauty Pro. This anti-ageing mask contains Marine Collagen, Vitamin C and Aloe Vera, which all work together to restore radiance, boost elasticity and combat pesky fine lines. It also has Bearberry extract to reduce any pigmentation marks and help even out your skin tone for a more flawless complexion.

Anatomicals No Old Bags Allowed Eye Gel (5ml travel size, full size retails for £4.79)

I’m not usually the biggest fan of eye gels but this little tube from Anatomicals looks intriguing as it promises to be hydrating and non-sticky. It features Arnica and Orange Flower extract to provide instant refreshment and help to perk up tired and puffy eyes which sounds perfect for using first thing in the morning!

Drink Me Chai Free From Chai Latte (1 cup sample, full size retails for £2.50)

I was pleased to see a sample of the new Drink Me Chai Free From Chai Latte which is made from natural sweeteners and is suitable for vegans as it’s dairy-free. It’s also 99% caffeine free and tastes absolutely delicious! I’ll certainly be picking up a full-size tub during my next supermarket trip.

Seed And Bean Organic Cornish Sea Salt & Lime Milk Chocolate (RRP £1.20)

Ending on a sweet note, the last product in this month’s Pink Parcel box is a bar of chocolate from Seed And Bean. Organic and fair trade, this rich milk chocolate is blended with Cornish Sea Salt and a hint of subtle Lime for a tasty and different chocolate experience. It’s very yummy!
