Coffee is an essential of life, so it’s pretty important not to run out!
To that end, Pact Coffee delivers ethically-sourced coffee direct to your home, at the appropriate frequency for your coffee drinking habits.
When you subscribe, you choose the frequency of deliveries according to how much coffee you drink.
The options are Nespresso-compatible pods, filter coffee, or espresso machine.
I received a box of four strips of ten pods, one of each of the coffee types they offer.
The box is compact enough to fit through the mailbox, so you don’t have to worry about collecting it from the sorting office!
These are the four coffees.
Each individual box gives you tasting notes, plus a little bit of information about the farmer who actually grew it, which is really rather interesting.
What is particularly impressive is that the pods are recyclable!
The coffee grounds can be either thrown away or composted, then you simply rinse and stack the pods and put them in your home recycling, which is incredibly convenient.
The coffee itself is excellent. I don’t think I could choose a favourite from the four I tried, but I would gladly drink any of them!
The ethical aspect is an extra bonus – they use the direct trade method, which means Pact deals directly with the farmers and cut out the middleman.
Price per cup is 47p, which is about average for coffee pods, depending on your brand. However, any small premium is more than worth it for the ethical and eco-friendly qualities.
