My Geek Box – February 2020

My Geek Box is exactly as it sounds – a box of geeky stuff! There’s no theme or menu, you simply get a selection of items from a huge assortment of geeky franchises.
It costs from £19.99 a month, including postage.
This month’s t-shirt features a graphic of the Flux Capacitor from Back to the Future. This is a pretty nice design as it’s a little different from the more familiar movie poster.
This is a Kidrobot Bot Mini Dam Gun  Vinyl Figure.
It’s a little white vinyl figure with mask, shield, sword, and gun, which you pop out of the plastic frames and snap together.
It also includes little stickers to decorate the armour.
DC Teekee Figure – Harley Quinn. These figures are stackable and are carved to look like wood, int eh style of a Tiki figure. There are various DC characters available.
This is a collectible die-cast Batmobile from Detective Comics #456. I couldn’t find the actual brand name of this anywhere, but after a bit of searching I found that it’s 1:43 scale and around 11cm long. There are various types of vehicles from different comic numbers, and it comes in a display case with a diorama background.
Finally, a Metal Earth Kit of Krennic’s Imperial Shuttle from Star Wars Rogue One. These are metal models that come in flat pieces you pop out and assemble yourself.
They are quite fun to make but very fiddly and require a lot of patience. As long as you don’t break any pieces (they’re fragile) they look pretty good when they’re complete.

Our score: 8.0/ 10

I think my favourite thing this month is the t-shirt. The metal kit is nice, and Star Wars is a very popular franchise. The Harley Quinn model is fun, but I think that it's better to have several stacked up, as it looks a little strange on its own. I'm a little disappointed by the Kitrobot kit, as while it's a fun idea, the pieces themselves always have bits attached to them after they've popped out of the frame. The Batmobile is nice though, and I like the display case with the street scene. Overall this is a nice collection, and at only £20 the value is good even if you don't like everything in the box.
