Mask Time – September 2018: Glow Setter Box

If you’re a fan of Korean sheet masks and use them on a regular basis, Mask Time‘s Glow Setter Box is the skincare subscription box for you. Each month it is filled with an amazing selection of sheet masks and considering that most masks are priced around £3-4 each if you were to purchase them individually, this box is excellent value for money.

As the season has changed into Autumn, this latest box reflects the change in weather and contains many masks to help to protect your skin for the colder months ahead. There are a lot of masks included so let’s jump straight in and see what’s inside!

Aroma Yong Fresh Mandarin Aromatherapy Mask (RRP £3.50)

I’m a big fan of aromatherapy so the first mask that I pulled out is from Aroma Yong. Their Fresh Mandarin Aromatherapy Mask is formulated with organic ingredients from the island of Jeju and includes Prickly Pear extract to provide anti-inflammatory properties and Jojoba Seed Oil to lock in moisture. The sheet itself is also biodegradable which is brilliant – I’d love to see more masks like this in future boxes!

Blossom Jeju Red Camellia Soombi 2 Step Deep Nourishing Petal Mask (RRP £4.99)

Two-step masks are becoming more and more popular in K-Beauty, and this one from Blossom Jeju is a really good example why! The first step contains pure Camellia Face Oil which helps the skin to deeply absorb the nourishing essence of step two which is the sheet mask itself. It’s packed full of Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate thirsty and dry skin, and there’s also Rosemary and Sweet Pea extracts to soothe any irritation.

Dewpiel Defense Mask Pore (RRP £4)

Next up, I found a mask which was a firm favourite in April’s Glow Setter Box and due to customer demand, Mask Time have included it again – yay! This mask is formulated especially for those skin types that have large pores and it features a unique type of Micro Away material which pulls out any trapped dirt or impurities so that your pores are left looking clear and smaller. How clever is that?!

Beauty Bakery Aqua Marine Moisture Mask (RRP £3)

This sheet mask contains Marine Collagen which helps to supply your skin with essential moisture, and it also contains Laminaria Japonica which is full of rich minerals that eliminate toxins from the skin and give you a gorgeous long-lasting glow. In addition, it helps to battle the signs of ageing, making it a good all-rounder for many skin types to use.

Lyajin Her Story Aqua-Mask (RRP £4)

Here’s another aqua mask, this time from Lyajin Her Story and this one contains Bamboo Water which helps the skin to retain moisture, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Water to calm sensitive skin and protect against irritation, Glutathione to reduce pigmentation and prevent the signs of ageing and Adenosine to strengthen, improve elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Innisfree Seaweed Soothing Mask (RRP £4)

Innisfree is a very popular skincare brand for sheet masks and their Seaweed Soothing Mask is a bestseller. Formulated with C-Therapy Complex, it contains rich Alginic Acid which is naturally derived from Jeju Kelp and has amazing properties to moisturise and purify the skin. There’s also Jeju Marine Collagen and Hyaluronic Acid included to leave the skin soft, smooth and supple.

Medius Cream Mask Gold Sericin (RRP £4)

A gold mask always sounds interesting, doesn’t it?! This cream essence type mask is perfect for drier climates as it creates a barrier which helps the skin to lock in moisture, keeping it hydrated and happy for longer. It features proteins made from Silk which aid in healing the skin and maximising collagen production, whilst the antioxidants in Meadowfoam Seed Oil leave your complexion feeling softer and thoroughly moisturised.

NOTS Soothing Multi-Gel Mask (RRP £4.50)

Give your skin some extra TLC with this soothing Multi-Gel Mask from NOTS. Formulated with lots of cooling ingredients such as Aloe Vera, Bamboo Water and Cucumber extracts, this mask is wonderfully calming and refreshing for the skin. Ideal as a post-holiday mask if you’ve caught too much sun!

H. Lab Centella Asiatica (RRP £3)

Made up of 90% Centella Asiatica, this mask is brilliant for revitalising weakened or damaged skin, and also helps to soothe away any redness and irritation at the same time. The sheet is made from 100% cupra which has a silk-like texture and feels like a second skin – it’s lovely and pampering! The mask is also free from parabens and preservatives and contains only natural ingredients.

Green Harmony Blueberry Mask Pack (RRP £3)

As an extra bonus skincare item, this mask pack from Green Harmony is included to provide deep moisture and an antioxidant boost to tired, dry skin.

I also found a sample of Plustem UV Perfect Block Essense SPF 50+ – thanks Mask Time!
