Lootaku – October 2019 FAN FAVES 2 My Hero Academia/Dragon Ball Z/Final Fantasy

Lootaku is a premium monthly subscription based service to fulfill everybody’s geeky addictions. Our box features full figure statues and Asia exclusives that you will not find in any other subscription box. We promise no filler or promotional items, and our values are always based on current cheapest prices on Amazon.

Prices and values on the Lootaku website are given US dollars. A one month subscription is $44.99 (three and six month subscriptions are cheaper). This is around £35 and UK Shipping is $17.66, around £14. Slightly pricey, but this is a premium box. Also it’s coming a long way and it’s a big box!

So a 1 month subscription is going to cost you around £49.

The shipping box is really cool, it’s a great design for the theme of this box.

This box is the second of their fan favourites, featuring the popular My Hero Academia, and the classics Dragon Ball Z and the Japanese RPG Final Fantasy.

We’ve got two large figures in this month’s box, both Banpresto!

The first is from My Hero Academia.

This is Shouta Aizawa from Banpresto The Amazing Heros Volume 6.

It’s a fantastic dynamic figure showing him using his weapon, a special steel wire and carbon scarf.

This figure comes in several pieces and is rather complicated to put together, but once it is it looks incredible, well worth the hassle!

The second figure is from Dragon Ball Z.

It’s Super Saiyan Bardock from the Banpresto Posing Series.

It shows a great pose, and the figure just has the base for the feet to balance it out. Bardock figures aren’t that common, and this is a nice one with great detailing, especially the hair!

There’s a small blind box figure this month too.

It’s a Square Enix Final Fantasy Dissidia Opera Omnia trading Arts. These boxes contain small figures either in full colour or a special edition clear variant.

We’re back to a t-shirt this month, and this one is the Final Fantasy item.

The design features Sephiroth from Final Fantasy 7, and as always from Lootaku it’s made from nice thick cotton, and is an individually numbered limited edition design.

Finally, this month’s enamel pin is another My Hero Academia item. It shows the Rank 2 hero Enjo Todoroki complete with fantastically intricate flame details.

The box includes a menu card with details of all the items plus values.

Note: October’s box was missing the pin, due to a manufacturing problem, but it was included in this box.

Our score: 9.2/ 10

This is a great box for figures this month! Two large ones plus a bonus mini blind box. My favourite is the Shouta Aizawa figure, because while it was difficult to put together the final effect is incredible! The Bardock figure is also a really good item, and is a great addition to any fan's collection. Lootaku always do excellent t-shirts and pins, and it's rreally interesting to see what original designs they come up with. As to value, the two large figures cover the price themselves, plus you have extras, so I'd say this is a fantastic value this month!
