Another month and another wonderful LookFantastic box! The theme for the new May box is based around ‘urban beauty’ which is inspired by products that help your skin and makeup survive in the city. There are six items in the box including the following brands: Wella, Polaar, Mellow, Avant, Skin Chemists and Minetan.
Mellow Lip Pencil
Let’s start with the one makeup item in the box and it’s a lip pencil from the brand Mellow which has been included in a previous LookFantastic box. The lip pencil comes in the shade Aria which is a gorgeous natural everyday shade that I love! It has a creamy matte finish but I personally find it to be a little too matte sadly. However, I love the shade and I will definitely be trying it again in the future.
Skin Chemists Rose Illuminating Glow Hydrogel Eye Pads
Next up is an item that I haven’t received in a LookFantastic box before, that I can remember and it’s eye pads. I have very sensitive eyes due to eczema so I tend to steer clear of items like this. I’ve heard great things about eye pads like this so I will have to try them soon.
Avant Skincare 8 Hour Facial Serum
This serum has the longest product name ever! We all know how much I love serums, they are an integral part of my skincare routine especially as I have dry skin. I’m always happy to try another serum and this one is really nice so far. It contains hyaluronic acid which is ideal for dry skin and an ingredient that my dry, sensitive skin loves.
Wella Nutri-Enrich Mask
There’s one hair item in the box and it’s a colourful hair mask from Wella. The mask claims to hydrate, deeply condition the hair and protect from stress and frizz. I haven’t tried anything from Wella for so long but I’m interested to try this mask. I love using hair masks especially on dry hair before showering as I find them to be even more effective when used in that way.
Polaar Northern Light Hand Cream
Polaar is a brand that’s been included in a previous subscription box that I’ve received and the hand cream was a staple in my handbag for months so I’m very happy to receive another. It contains Siberian olive tree and berry extracts to help protect the skin from pollution and encourage the regeneration of the cells. It’s such a lovely hand cream and I’d definitely recommend it.
Minetan 3 in 1 Gradual Tan Lotion
Last but not least is sadly a product that I probably won’t use, gradual tanner. I’m so ghostly pale and while I’ve always wanted sunkissed skin, it’s something I’ve been very cautious of as I don’t want to look like an orange. It claims to build up to a natural looking colour that is rich in vitamins and antioxidants to moisturise and soothe dry skin so it sounds very promising.
