The range of eco-friendly subscription boxes has grown and grown over the last couple of years and one of the newest boxes to hit the market is called GreenEcoBox. They launched at the end of February and work with more than 70 artisans from all over the UK and Europe to bring their subscribers an exciting box that’s packed full of goodies which are good for you and the planet. GreenEcoBox currently offers two types of monthly subscription boxes; a beauty based box and a mixed lifestyle box called Bee Happy. I was kindly sent their latest March Bee Happy Box to review and it’s really good!
The GreenEcoBoxes are shipped from Europe and contain a handy info leaflet which details all of the environmental projects that the company are involved in and financially support. For every Bee Happy box that is sold, they donate £4.50 to Greenpeace and they also plant a tree in Haiti on your behalf (by OneTreePlanted). They even include a personalised certificate for the latter which I think is a really lovely touch and shows their commitments to these important environmental initiatives.
Onto the goodies! There’s a great mix of lifestyle products included:-
Flaschenweise Vinaigrette/Dressing in Green Tea Pear
Made in Germany by the artisans Flaschenweise, this vinaigrette is bursting full of flavour and is the perfect accompaniment to liven up any salad! Blended with high-quality ingredients, it features a base of Sicilian Olive Oil which is mixed with Green Tea, Coriander, Lovage and Fenugreek. A little drizzle goes a long way and it’s absolutely delicious!
La Pierre Qui Tourne Ultra-Lemon Biscuits
Next up, I found a bag of sweet cookie style biscuits which are handmade in France. These are certified organic, naturally gluten-free and have the most addictive candied lemon and lemon essence all-natural flavourings in them. If you like authentic Lemon biscuits that really do taste of lemon, you’ll love these!
Joe’s Tea Whiter Than White Tea
I’m a huge fan of tea and I love trying new tea brands, so this box from Joe’s Tea was a fantastic new discovery for me. Made in England, these fuso tea bags are certified organic and have a naturally low caffeine content. The blend of White Tea inside has a lovely light and delicate flavour that has a touch of sweetness which I really enjoyed. I’d definitely buy these again.
Lulu & Guite Natural Mint Soap
When I first opened the box, I could immediately smell something uplifting and minty! Handmade in France, Lulu & Guite speciliase in natural soaps and this one is an extra-mild formula which contains raw Shea Butter, Jojoba, vegetable Glycerine, Green Clay and essential oils of Mint and Vetiver. It’s a gorgeous purifying soap and it’s currently in my kitchen as a hand soap.
Le Clos de Laure Dark Chocolate and Pear Jam
The final product comes from another French artisan company called Le Clos de Laure and their Dark Chocolate and Pear Jam is a true gift from the Gods! Prepared by hand, this 100% natural jam is created from locally grown Orchard Pears which are hand-peeled and cooked in a copper cauldron. Melting Dark Chocolate is then added to indulgent jam which you can use drizzled over vanilla ice cream, cakes or served on crackers with white cheeses. It’s very addictive!
There were also a couple of little extras in the box including two gorgeous organic mini cakes (Madeleine and Spelt Plumcake), some fairtrade French chocolates from Valrhona and a 10% coupon code to use on the GreenEcoBox website.
