GreenEcoBox – April 2018: Beauty In The Box

GreenEcoBox is a new subscription box from Europe which ships to the UK. As the name suggests, the box is all about promoting and introducing eco-friendly products to those who are conscious about their impact on the planet, and this means that GreenEcoBox works with a wide range of environmentally friendly and ethical companies. They also support many green initiatives (which you can find out more about on their website), and they donate £2.50 from every Beauty In The Box sold to the WWF to help protect wildlife around the world, as well as planting a tree in Haiti in your name via OneTreePlanted to reduce deforestation.

There are two monthly boxes that GreenEcoBox sends out; a Bee Happy Box (lifestyle related) and a Beauty In The Box, which is focused on beauty and toiletries, the latter of which I’m going to share with you all below.

Young & Schon Holunderblute Shampoo

Made in Austria, this shampoo is made from a unique blend of natural active ingredients which are particularly beneficial for stressed or weak hair. There are no chemical agents or dyes in this formula, and the brand is completely cruelty-free, so you can rest assured that there’s no animal testing involved. It has quite a thin consistency, but cleans the hair perfectly and has a gorgeous fruity Elderberry scent.

The Soap Shop Natural Blend Invigorate Bath & Massage Oil

I haven’t heard of this English brand before, but after trying this amazing Bath & Massage Oil, I’ll definitely be checking them out! 100% natural, parabens free and cruelty-free, this oil has a simple base of Almond and Jojoba Oils blended together with essential oils of Lemon, Lime, Grapefruit and Orange. It smells so uplifting and fresh – perfect for Spring!

Lulu & Guite Organic Soap with Hazelnuts and Orange

French artisans Lulu & Guite do some exquisite organic soaps which are 100% natural and suitable for all skin types to use. This one is their extra-mild soap formula that uses raw Shea Butter and Vegetable Hazelnut Oil to create a moisturising and cleansing soap. Scented with essential oils of Sweet Orange and Cinnamon, it’s a lovely soap to have in your bathroom.

Savonnerie Aubergine Jolie Bouche Fraicheur Peppermint Organic Solid Toothpaste

With plastic pollution being on so many people’s minds recently, it was great to see such an innovative and unique product in this month’s box – an organic solid toothpaste from Jolie Bouche! Made in Bretagne, France by the traditional soap manufacturers Savvonnerie Aubergine, this solid toothpaste uses only high-quality, organic, raw and unrefined ingredients, and is free from Palm Oil, preservatives and is suitable for vegans to use (PETA affiliated). To use it, you simply dampen your toothbrush and rub it onto the bar to create a foam that you can then use to brush your teeth with. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m excited to! Lasts up to 6 months.

Creamy Stuff Switzerland Shower Gel Light & Soft

In the corner of the box, I found a small pot sample of Creamy Stuff Switzerland Shower Gel in Light & Soft which smells very nice and feels moisturising on the skin.

Lastly, I found a packet of sweet edible extras; an organic Madeleine and some miniature chocolates from the French fairtrade brand Valrhona. Lovely!

Our score: 9.6/ 10

I'm very impressed with this second Beauty In the Box from GreenEcoBox - a brilliant selection of high-quality eco-friendly beauty products!
