First Wonder Box has been created by the same people who publish First News, a newspaper for children. This box is aimed at kids age 4 – 8, and includes games, crafts, toys, and activities.
Usually I have my daughter to help out with reviewing, but we’ve been away and the summer holidays mean we have less rather than more time to do things! But you’ll still see everything in the box, plus my opinion of course.
The box is thin and fits perfectly through the mailbox.
There are lovely colours and pictures on the box too, plus a bit of information on the back about what’s in the box.
The box opens up and everything fits neatly inside.
The activity booklet is excellent. There’s a great overview of the subject, and the information is the perfect standard for this age group.
There are also plenty of games and puzzles.
There are some lovely goodies inside, a cute dinosaur pencil and rubber, and a scratch art set. There are also two trivia cards to add to the album you get with your first box.
Extra bonus toys are a little stretchy dinosaur model, and a fun kite.
The box itself turns into a game board! There are stickers to add, counters to cut out, and a die is included.
I think this is incredibly value for only £7.95. You get plenty to do, and the additional toys are really good this month! You can never have too many pencils, and the kite will be lovely to take out on a breezy day.
The activity book has plenty to keep you going for quite a while! The game is also a lot of fun, and it’s very thoughtful to include the die. This is a lovely thing to dip in and out of, or take away with you.
I especially like how the themes of these boxes are entirely neutral, and can be enjoyed by all children. And dinosaurs are always going to be especially popular!
