Degustabox – July 2020: Summer

Summer is here and Degustabox has a box full of drinks and exciting new food products for you and your family to enjoy! There’s a lot inside this month, so let’s jump right in and check out the goodies, shall we?

Please note: We have been sent the PR Degustabox so your contents may be slightly different – we have pointed this out throughout the review.

Pravha Lighter Tasting Pilsner (RRP £2)

From the legendary brewers of Staropramen, this Czech pilsner has a lighter and more refreshing flavour with a bold and crisp taste. Available in all major supermarkets, it comes in a huge bottle so you get a lot of bang for your buck.

The Skinny Food Co Sauce Samples (gift)

As a free gift this month, you’ll find a surprise bag of four of the most bestselling products from The Skinny Food Co. The samples that I received are White Chocolate Syrup, Original Mayo, Garlic Mayo and Tomato Ketchup. They’re all virtually zero calories so perfect if you’re losing or watching your weight.

Premier Protein Chocolate Brownie Bar (RRP £1.49)

For a handy and filling snack to eat on the go, you can’t beat a protein bar and this one from Premier Protein comes in a delicious Chocolate Brownie flavour. Each bar contains 20g of protein and only 1.3g of sugar! You can pick these up online at Ocado and in WHSmith travel shops.

Nestle Nesquik All Natural Milkshake Powder (RRP £1.89)

Made from 100% natural ingredients, this is the classic taste of Nestle Nesquik without any artificial flavours or sweeteners. It also now comes in this new recyclable paper packaging instead of those giant plastic tubs which is great to see – well done Nestle! Available at Tesco and Sainsburys.

Golden Creek Maple Syrup with Sugar Syrup (RRP £2.49)

For a more affordable alternative to pure Maple Syrup, this bottle from Golden Creek features a blend of dark Canadian Maple Syrup (30%) with Sugar Syrup so that you get the flavour at a fraction of the cost. Buy more at Ocado and in Home Bargains.

Minor Figures Nitro Cold Brew Mocha (RRP £1.95)

How cool and cute is this can? Using the best in-season coffee and a slow brewing process, Minor Figures have created a dairy-free coffee drink with no added sugar. When opened, nitrogen is released to create a silky microfoam – perfect for those who are cutting back on their expensive takeaway coffees! Available from various stockists such as Wholefoods, Planet Organic, Ocado, As Nature Intended, WHSmith travel shops, Holland & Barrett and more.

Manilife Peanut Butter (sample pots £0.60 each)

Next up, I found two sample pots of Manilife Peanut Butter in two different flavours; Deep Roast Crunchy Peanut Butter and Original Roast Crunchy Peanut Butter. These are made from the finest high oleic peanuts sourced from a single estate farm in Argentina, which are then blended in small batches. They are amazing! Also included is a £1 off voucher to use when you a purchase full-size jar at Sainsbury’s.

Wunda Milk Alternative (RRP £1.99)

How exciting is this – Wunda Milk Alternative which isn’t released until 2021! This delicious dairy-free alternative is high in protein and very versatile. You can use it in basically everything – from hot drinks to baking and more. It’s also fortified with essential vitamins and is low in sugar and fat.

Bebeto Party Mix Tub (RRP £2)

This huge fizzy gum sweet mix is a massive sharing tub size for the whole family to tuck into over your latest Netflix obsession. Available at Morrisons and selected Spar and Bestways stores.

Plant Pops Popped Lotus Seeds in Peanut Butter (RRP £1.50)

A new way to snack, these Popped Lotus Seeds are sustainably harvested before being popped and toasted with tumbled ground peanuts. This Peanut Butter flavour is sweet, salty and utterly moreish! Available from The Vegan Kind supermarket online, Harvey Nichols, Londis and Budgens.

Natvia Natural Sweetener (RRP £5)

The final product in this month’s Degustabox is a tub of Natvia Natural Sweetener – the easy way to quit sugar thanks to its sweet flavour that’s derived from naturally sourced, GMO-free Stevia blend. You can use this to replace sugar in baking and it works well in coffee and tea too. Available at Tesco, Ocado, Tree of Life and health food stores.

Our score: 9.8/ 10
