Degustabox – August 2019: Back To School & On The Go

Degustabox is one of the most popular food and drink subscription boxes around, and with a low monthly subscription fee and excellent value for money, it’s easy to see why. Don’t just take my word for it though, check out the contents below to see what you can expect when you sign up to them.

August’s box is themed Back To School & On The Go so let’s see what’s inside!

Blossom Hill Pale Rosé (RRP £6.50)

Degustabox offers two types of subscription box; an alcohol-free box and an alcohol box. If you chose the latter, you’ll find a delicious bottle of Blossom Hill Pale Rosé. Winner of Product Of The Year 2019, this firm favourite is refreshingly dry with notes of Summer fruits. Try it served over ice and sliced strawberries for a refreshing summer cooler!

Manilife Original Crunchy and Deep Roast Smooth Peanut Butter Mini Pots (RRP £0.59 each)

You will also discover two tasty pots of Peanut Butter from Manilife. Made from the finest peanuts which are sourced from a single-estate in Argentina, these nut butters are naturally sweeter and have a better fat profile that’s similar to Olive Oil. I’m a massive fan of peanut butter and these are both amazing! They are free from palm oil too which is brilliant.

Nuttvia Hazelnut Spread (RRP £3.25)

In the alcohol-free box, you’ll find Nuttvia Hazelnut Spread which is made with 97% less sugar than similar products. Free from palm oil, this spread is basically like a healthier version of Nutella and tastes almost the same, but without the extra calories or guilt! Super yummy on toast or added to porridge/overnight oats for breakfast.

Mighty Fine Almond Dips in Dark Chocolate

High in fibre and a source of protein, these Mighty Fine Almond Dips are dunked into Dark Chocolate for a really indulgent snack that you can enjoy on the go or at your desk. I really liked these and would definitely buy them again in a bigger pack!

Attack A Snak (RRP £1.50)

This Nachos Snack Kit features a side of crunchy Nachos, a sachet packet of nacho cheese sauce and a chunky tomato salsa dip corner. Ideal for hungry kids after school or as a convenient snack for a long car journey.

Pure Leaf Gunpowder Green Tea, Chai Tea and Green Tea with Jasmine (RRP £3.99 each)

I’m a big fan of herbal teas so I was thrilled to see not one, not two, but three pots of tea in the box! From Pure Leaf, there are three different flavours to try and each pyramid bag features the finest leaves that have been paired with natural ingredients for a lovely cuppa. The Chai Tea, in particular, is very good!

Strings & Things Cheeshapes (RRP £1.50)

As Degustabox are unable to ship chilled products, they have included a fully redeemable voucher for a free pack of the new String & Things Cheeshapes from Cheesestrings.

Ufit Chocolate Protein Drink (RRP £2)

For a quick and easy breakfast on the go, Ufit’s Chocolate Protein Drink is a high protein milkshake that contains 22g of protein in each bottle. It’s also low in fat and contains no added sugar so ideal for those who go to gym early in the morning.

Fruit Bowl Strawberry Yoghurt Flakes, Yoghurt Raisins and Unicorn Fruit Flakes (RRP £0.49 each)

For fussy kids who don’t like fruit, pop one of these tasty packs into their lunchbox. The Strawberry Yoghurt Flakes and Yoghurt Raisins are a good way to disguise fruit, whilst the Unicorn Fruit Flakes are just too cute to pass up!

Jellysqueeze Jelly Pouches in Strawberry, Apple & Blackcurrant and Orange (RRP £0.50 each)

Also perfect for kids lunchboxes are these Jellysqueeze Jelly pouches. Made with real fruit and free from artificial colours, preservatives, added sugar and artificial sweeteners, these fruity jellies are fun to eat and are less than 80 calories per pouch.

KitKat Senses Bars in Salted Caramel and Hazelnut (RRP £0.85 each)

New from KitKat are these Senses Bars which offer the perfect combination of wafer, chocolate and a delicious filling for your next ‘me time’ moment. There are two flavours available and you’ll get to try them both – needless to say these did not last long in the house!

Heinz Beef Ravioli (RRP £1.25)

The last product is the only item that I wasn’t fussed about as I’m a vegetarian, so I’ll be passing this onto one of my housemates to try out.
