Cozy Candles supplies a monthly box of delicious-smelling wax melts. They have two options, six large melts (Cosy Pods) in different scents for £14.99 a month, or 24 mini melts in four different scents for £9.99.
The box is thin enough to fit through the mailbox. It also comes in a mailing bag, so the box itself stays nice and neat.
I love the yellow tissue paper! It looks summery and happy. There is also a menu which tells you which lovely scents are in this month’s box.
There’s some instructions included this month. The only thing I’d add to this is that I find it’s necessary to wash my melter, as the scent is potent enough to linger even when it’s wiped.
Here they are, six impressively large wax melts!
This month’s scents are: Baltic Amber & Clove; Citronella; Gardenia; Ocean Breeze; Raspberry Ripple; and Green Tea.
At 80g per melt these have around 80 hours of melting time each. That’s a lot of scent! You can use a whole one if your melter is big enough, or you can break them into pieces. If you’re feeling daring you can also combine melts to make your own custom scents.
My favourite scents this month are the Baltic Amber & Clove, and the Citronella. The Raspberry Ripple I find a little sweet on its own, but it combines very well with others for a nice layered scent.
A big advantage of wax melts is that, with an electric melter, there is no need for an open flame, so they are much safer than candles. These melts are all made by hand, and all the ingredients undergo rigorously safety tests. They are also suitable for vegans and totally safe for children and pets.
Another lovely collection of scents for the summer, and the Citronella is particularly useful for melting on a summer’s evening to keep the bugs away!
