Boxcitement – November 2018: How fancy?!

The theme of this month’s Boxcitement box was ‘Fancy’ and it was a truly wonderful box to come home to. For some reason this box felt like it had more in it than usual, and everything was a delight to behold. As ever the contents were packaged absolutely beautifully

What’s in this month’s box:

  • A stunning cloth bag to protect your valuables
  • A beautiful wooden bookmark
  • A lovely wooden rose necklace (packaged very luxuriously in a gold envelope with purple ribbon)
  • “The World’s most gorgeous washi tape”
  • Some lovely flamingo wrapping paper
  • A Christmas greeting card and envelope
  • A set of posh fridge magnets
  • A set of two different designs of notelets
  • “A little kit of loveliness” for packing the perfect present
  • And a handy to do list and present tracker

The best bits

It’s very difficult to capture just how luxurious this cloth bag is. It’s absolutely stunning and the purple and gold colour scheme makes it look very expensive. I’m still not sure exactly how I will use this, but I know that I definitely will.

Book club intentions!

I’m a member of a book club but I am famed for being rubbish at actually reading the books themselves. I’m hoping this bookmark will help change that (as well as new year best intentions!) This image does not do the bookmark justice; its really lovely quality, the wood is sturdy but still delicate and I can’t wait to use it.

Coming up roses

I’m not sure this image does the pendant justice either, but its definitely going to get a lot of wear over the next few weeks. The cord and ribbon that the walnut wood is hung on are a beautiful soft gold colour which looks both natural and distinctive. The rose itself has beautiful tones of red, pink and purple. I can’t wait to wear it.

Can never be too prepared

The little kit of loveliness is a great addition to the box this month. I’ve made a few small gifts this year and wasn’t sure how I was going to package them up just to give them a really lovely finishing touch. Now I know! The thread looks really expensive and the little stickers, tag and pin are brilliant. Such a handy little set.

Last but not least…

I love these little magnets. I definitely need the bottom one to keep on track this month, and the top one is going to be a great addition; I often tear out recipes or meal ideas and pop them next to the fridge, now I can stick them front and centre and not lose them. They both look more expensive than they are; very much the theme of this months box…I’ve not priced everything up but you absolutely get your money’s worth this time round. Bravo team Boxcitement.

Our score: 9.8/ 10

I've just shaved one point off because I would have liked to have seen something perhaps a tiny bit different to the single Christmas greeting card or wrapping paper. They're both lovely, but I have found that a lot of the wrapping paper I get in these boxes has been piling up lately (probably because most of the things I buy at the moment are for people under the age of 8), so getting something a little different would have been nice; but I am being REALLY picky here. It's another wonderful box from the Boxcitement team.
