WowBoxMe – March 2018

If you enjoy trying out new food and drink from well-known, household brands, WowBoxMe offers an exciting monthly subscription box. The contents of the box are a surprise, but the variety that they include is really good, so there’s always something for everyone. These kinds of boxes are perfect for families and students as they offer fantastic value for money and it’s a good way to stock up your cupboards for less!

March’s WowBoxMe arrived recently and was full to the brim with food and drink goodies. Let’s take a closer look, shall we?

Simplee Aloe Aloe Vera Water (3 x 500ml bottles)

I wondered why the box felt so heavy and then I saw that there were not one, not two, but THREE bottles from Simply Aloe in there! These are all the same as they are the brand’s popular Aloe Vera Water which has no pulp. Made from 15% Aloe Vera, this water is lovely and refreshing, plus it’s less than 45 calories per bottle. A great healthy alternative for when you want something different from regular water.

Twinings Cherry & Cinnamon Tea (box of 20 teabags)

I love tea and was super happy to see a box of Twinings Cherry & Cinnamon, as I had literally run out of these on the day that they arrived – talk about good timing or what?! This tea blend is really delicious and marries two of my favourites tea flavours – juicy fruity Cherries and spicy Cinnamon.

Maryland Double Choc Cookies (2 packs)

Next up, I pulled out two packs of Maryland Double Choc Cookies. It’s been a while since I had some of these, but they are just as good as I remembered and have a really indulgent Double Choc flavour. Basically, if you like chocolate and you like cookies, you’ll love these!

KP Fruit & Nut Energy Mix

New from KP are these Fruit & Nut Energy Mixes which combine Roasted Peanuts, Cashews, Raw Almonds and juicy Raisins in the same conveniently packaged snack bag. These are great for popping into handbags or lunchboxes for when you need something to beat that afternoon slump.

Bahlsen Choco Leibniz in Orange

I LOVE these! If you haven’t tried them before, they’re square biscuits which feature a chunky layer of chocolate (in this case, it’s orange flavoured chocolate, but they also have a regular version available in the supermarkets) to match their slogan ‘more chocolate than a biscuit’. They’re amazing to dunk into tea or coffee and taste really indulgent.

Ritter Sport Coconut (2 packs)

Another chocolatey favourite of mine is Ritter Sport which you can find in Lidl in a huge variety of flavours. These packs are both Coconut which blends a mix of coconut flakes in a Coconut and Milk filling and coats this with a thick layer of sweet chocolate. These are very addictive!

Fuzetea Peach Hibiscus flavour

The last product is a bottle of Fuzetea in Peach Hibiscus – a refreshing and fruity iced tea that’s perfect for when you want a break, but don’t want anything fizzy. At 48 calories a bottle, it’s a lovely drink.

Our score: 9.2/ 10

Although I loved every product in this box, I did feel that it could have done with some more variety to break up the multiple products a bit. Still a great value for money box if you like everything!
