The Vegan Kind Beauty Box – February 2018

The Vegan Kind offer two different types of subscription boxes; a monthly lifestyle box (you can read February’s review here), and a beauty box which is released on a quarterly basis throughout the year. I was kindly sent their latest Beauty Box to try out which has been sent out to subscribers this month, and it’s packed full of vegan-friendly skincare, makeup and beauty treats, with everything included being cruelty-free – yay!

The Vegan Kind Beauty Box is slightly smaller than their regular Lifestyle box, but there’s still a lot of products inside, as you’ll soon see below:-

Human + Kind Body Butter (50ml travel size, full size retails for £7.95)

If your skin is feeling dry due to this cold weather, this Human + Kind Body Butter will sort it out in no time at all. Packed full of skin-friendly ingredients such as Cocoa Seed Butter, Aloe Vera and Shea Butter, this body butter has a lovely and thick texture, yet sinks into the skin well, giving your whole body the TLC that it deserves. Particularly useful on dry areas such as elbows, feet, heels and hands, this is definitely a new favourite of mine!

Tisserand The Bath Soak in Rose & Geranium Leaf (RRP £10.95)

A long hot soak in the tub is one of the nicest ways to relax in the evening, and this Bath Soak from Tisserand adds an extra luxurious feeling. 100% naturally fragranced, it smells heavenly thanks to a blend of Rose and Geranium essential oils, and it makes my skin feel so soft and smooth afterwards. Beautiful stuff.

Balade En Provence Apple Hand Cream (RRP £9)

I haven’t heard of this brand before, but it’s French and how adorable is the apple shaped packaging?! Made with 92% natural ingredients, this hand cream from Balade En Provence is rich in Shea Butter, reassuringly thick in texture, and has a lovely subtle fruity scent to it. I love using this before bed for the smoothest hands in the morning.

Original Source Foaming Shower Gel in Pineapple (RRP £3)

Speaking of fruity scents, this next product literally smells good enough to eat (or drink!). It’s the brand new Foaming Shower Gel from Original Source in a gorgeous uplifting and sweet Pineapple aroma. The concentrated foam provides up to 35 intensely rich and creamy showers in every single bottle and uses only 100% natural fragrance and essential oils. It’s very fun to use and would be great for kids!

Unicorn Cosmetics Clementine Faux Silk Vegan Lashes (RRP £9.99)

How pretty are these Unicorn lashes?! I love wearing false lashes for nights out and special occasions, and these look so pretty and fluttery! They’re lightweight, reusable up to 15 times and made from a faux silk style material which means they’re 100% cruelty-free. I’m very excited to try them!

Optiat Be Good Pamper Kit (RRP £2.49)

The last product that I found in the box was a sample set from Optiat. It contains two try-me sachets; Feel Good Coffee Scrub in Mouthwatering Mandarin and Pick Me Up Coffee Scrub in Lemongrass Lifter. The brand name Optiat stands for ‘One Person’s Trash Is Another’s Treasure’ and is in reference to the 500,000 tonnes of coffee that’s sent to landfill in the UK alone. Optiat create their scrubs from repurposed used coffee grounds that are collected from cafes and restaurants throughout London – saving it from going to waste in landfills. What a great idea and these both smell amazing!

Charity help – For each Beauty Box sold, The Vegan Kind will donate 20p to Animal Free Research UK.
