Taffy Mail – April 2018: Extra Box

If you like American candy and treats, you’re going to LOVE Taffy Mail! This subscription box sends you a surprise selection of authentic American candy, snacks and drinks direct to your door every month and they have three different options that you can choose from; Lite, Classic and Extra, (the difference between them are the costs and how many products you get in each box). The Extra boxes are very big and contain larger products such as cereal, more expensive products or special limited edition flavours.

This month’s Taffy Mail Extra Box is one of their best yet, so let’s check out what’s inside!

Smorz Cereal

The biggest item this month is a box of Smorz Cereal which features a mix of marshmallows and crunchy Graham cereal pieces which are wrapped in a rich chocolate coating. If you’re a fan of deliciously sugary cereal, you’ll get on well with this one and it’s a really nice treat to have in the mornings for a change.

Lays Stax Salt & Vinegar flavour

Next up, there’s a tube of Lays Stax in a tasty Salt & Vinegar flavour. These are similar to Pringles in that they’re quite thin and moreish. Plus, you can’t go wrong with the classic that is Salt & Vinegar can you?

Reese’s Dipped Pretzels

I’m a HUGE fan of Reese’s and these Dipped Pretzels are AMAZING! They’re basically bite-sized pretzels which have been coated in classic Reese’s Peanut Butter, with a little drizzling of Milk Chocolate for good measure. Needless to say this sharing sized bag did not last very long in my house!

Fanta Pineapple flavour

There’s usually a soft drink of some kind in the Taffy Mail Extra boxes, and this time it’s a can of Fanta Pineapple. I love trying out these different flavours that we don’t get in the UK and this one was really sweet and fruity.

Finabelle’s Rocky Road

I haven’t heard of this brand before, but it’s an interesting bar of sweet and chewy Marshmallow which has been generously coated in Milk Chocolate, plus there’s some Cashews in there too. Not quite a classic Rocky Road, but a yummy one nonetheless.

Milky Way Midnight Dark flavour

I don’t think I’ve ever seen another flavour of Milky Way in the UK, but over in the US they have lots of different variations and this one is called Midnight Dark which is basically a Dark Chocolate Milky Way. Really good!

Skittles Sweet & Sours

Moving onto some candy, these Sweet & Sours are a new release from Skittles, and again, something that I haven’t seen here in the UK before. This bag contains a mix of Sweet and Sour flavoured Skittles in a range of different fruity flavours.

Bit O Honey

Bit O Honey is a bar of thick and chewy Honey flavoured taffy that has little bits of chopped Almonds embedded in it. Quite different from anything that I’ve tried before and great for those who enjoy something sweet to get their teeth stuck into!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites

Next, I found a box of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites which are bite-sized pieces of Cookie Dough that are coated in Milk Chocolate. Perfect for snacking on when you’re watching a movie.

Snyder’s Pretzel Pieces in Honey Mustard & Onion flavour

For something more savoury, there’s a bag of Snyder’s famous Pretzel Pieces in a tasty Honey Mustard & Onion flavour. I really enjoyed these and they were a hit with my housemates when we were looking for something to enjoy with a cold glass of Cider.

Warheads Chewy Cubes

Warheads are well-known for their super sour candy, but these are on the more ‘mildy sour’ scale and feature a mix of assorted fruity flavours.

Jaw Busters & Applehead

For those who like smaller packs of hard candies, you’ll get on well with Jaw Breakers and the popular Applehead boxes.

Laffy Taffy in Cherry & Banana

At the bottom of the box, I found three small pieces of Laffy Taffy, two in Cherry and one in a Banana flavour. These are really nice chewy taffies and have a joke in every wrapper.

Sweettarts & Pixy Stix

Lastly, I found a selection of assorted Pixy Stix and a pack of Sweettarts to round this month’s box off – great job Taffy Mail!

Our score: 9.0/ 10

This is one of my favourite boxes from Taffy Mail and I particularly loved the Reese's Dipped Pretzels, Smorz Cereal, Bit O Honey and the dark Milky Way!
