Scent From is a brand new candle subscription box from the popular online retailer, IWOOT.com. It combines two of my favourite things; travel and high-end/premium candles, so I was very excited to have the opportunity to try it out. Each month will have a different theme based on a holiday / travel destination, and the products are carefully chosen to reflect this – perfect for inciting some wanderlust into your home!
The theme of the box is revealed in advance, with the actual contents remaining a surprise until you open them up at home. However, every month you’re guaranteed to receive one hero candle, one home accessory and a selection of smaller scented treats, which I feel demonstrates good value for money.
The first Scent From box launched last month and was themed around Marrakesh – a place I’ve always wanted to visit and one that brings to mind exotic scents and flavours.
Inside the box was a leaflet detailing all of the contents, and explaining the Marrakesh theme and why it was chosen. It’s worth mentioning that the box itself was a good sturdy size, and there was plenty of those zigzag paper strips cushioning everything to help protect the products during transit. 
Hero Candle – Scent From Marrakesh
The star of the box is the hero candle; a beautiful limited edition bespoke tin candle made from pure, eco-friendly soy wax which is hand poured in the UK and features a lead-free wick. Weighing in at 300g, this candle will burn for around 40 hours and it has a lovely rich and heady Amber scent. Excellent scent throw as well – when I lit this for the first time, it filled the whole room with its gorgeous fragrance within 30 minutes. I love the gold and black Arabic inspired print on the packaging too. 
Shearer Candles Tin – Amber Noir
The next product that I spotted was a smaller, but still very elegant, tin candle from the brand Shearer Candles. This company have been hand making candles since 1897, and Amber Noir is one of their bestselling scents. It’s a sweeter and different Amber scent to the Hero Candle, and I like how the compact tin has a lid so that you can take it travelling with you. Despite its smaller size, it still has an impressive scent throw, and again I really like the vintage-esque, black and gold packaging. Burns for 20 hours.
Pyramid Tea Light Holder in Copper and Shearer Candles Scented Tea Lights in Frankincense & Myrrh
For this month’s home accessory item, there’s a pretty copper coloured pyramid tea light holder, and to go with it, a box of 8 scented tea lights from Shearer Candles. The tealights feature a fragrant blend of Frankincense & Myrrh; a rich, warming and inviting Arabian style scent with woody, spicy, musk and vanilla notes. Each one burns for 5 hours.
I’ve tried one or two candle subscription boxes in the past, but Scent From is really miles ahead in terms of quality and creativity. All of the products featured in this month’s box perfectly fit the Marrakesh theme, and this would be a fantastic box to give as a gift to a candle lover or for someone who just enjoys having a home that smells good.
