Roccabox – March 2018

Roccabox is a monthly beauty subscription box which is curated by beauty influencers and experts in the industry. March’s box is a special one for Roccabox as they are celebrating their 1st Birthday and I was excited to see what was inside, especially as the box felt a little heavier than usual! Instead of the usual five products, they’ve added in a cheeky extra this month for subscribers to mark the occasion.

Shall we take a closer look at the contents?

MUA Pro-Base Correcting Wheel (RRP £6)

This huge colour-correcting wheel is from the budget brand MUA and it features eight different colours for you to use to create the ultimate complexion base. Each colour can be used for a different purpose, for example, there’s a range of concealers to cover up and hide dark circles and blemishes, a purple for correcting dullness, a green for correcting redness and a darker shade that can be used for contouring the nose etc. A handy kit to have for any makeup fan, although I was a little disappointed that one of the colours has cracked during transit.

Dr. Lipp Original Nipple Balm (RRP £4.99, 4ml travel size)

Don’t be confused by the name of this balm – you can actually use this cult classic on any dry areas such as lips, elbows and heels, as well as nipples if you’re nursing! I’ve used this before on my lips and it’s amazing – perfect for rescuing cracked lips during this recent cold weather as it’s very thick and ultra-hydrating.

Laritzy Cosmetics High Gloss Lip Gloss (RRP £12) & Lip Pencil in Beau (RRP £13)

Next up, I found two lip products from the Montreal based makeup brand, Laritzy. I must admit that I wasn’t too fussed about the clear High Gloss Lip Gloss as I prefer coloured lip glosses, but I do absolutely love the Lip Pencil which is a gorgeous deep burgundy/wine red shade. I am disappointed that this brand was also featured in last month’s box though as I’d love some more variety when it comes to exploring new makeup companies.

Bilou Cream Foam in Fizzy Berry (RRP £3.99)

I’ve never tried a foaming body lotion before so this is different! Bilou’s Cream Foam Lotion contains Shea Butter, Almond Oil, Avocado Oil and Panthenol to gently moisturise and soften the skin. It’s 100% vegan and has a gorgeous Fizzy Berry fragrance which is both sweet and fruity – perfect for the upcoming Spring months.

Kawaii Enterprises Brush Cleansing Egg (RRP £7.99)

The final product in this month’s Roccabox is a Brush Cleansing Egg from Kawaii Enterprises. This bright pink silicone ‘egg’ has ridges to allow you to really get deep down into those bristles when you’re cleaning your makeup brushes. I already have one of these from another brand and they are so useful! I’ll be passing this onto my sister who I know will love it for her brushes.

Our score: 8.6/ 10

Although I was initially disappointed by receiving more Laritzy products as they'd been in last month's box, I do really like all of the other products in March's Roccabox, especially the Dr Lipp Balm and Bilou Cream Foam.
