The Pip Box – April 2018

Looking for a beauty box where all of the contents are guaranteed to be completely cruelty-free? The Pip Box is just that – 100% cruelty-free and their passion for animals extends to charitable causes too, as they donate 50p from every box sold to an animal charity which is involved in campaigning/researching against animal testing.

Another popular selling point of The Pip Box is that they work with lots of different brands who are equally as passionate about being cruelty-free, so you can expect to find products which are natural, organic, vegan etc in their monthly beauty boxes. I love the variety as well, as you can receive a mix of products that may include skincare, makeup, haircare and pampering goodies, plus it’s a surprise selection every time!

This month’s The Pip Box arrived earlier this week and features some of my personal favourite cruelty-free brands:-

The Konjac Sponge Co. Body Sponge (full size, RRP £11.99)

Konjac sponges are all-natural sponges that are made from the fibres of the Konjac plant, so it’s 100% biodegradable which is great for those who are looking for a plastic-free alternative to loofahs and shower puffs. Suitable for all skin types, these are very gentle on the skin and can be used with your favourite bath and shower products – I’m a big fan of these!

Weleda Evening Primrose Age Revitalising Body Oil (10ml travel size worth £3.99)

I was pleased to see this amazing body oil from Weleda and it seems like The Pip Box subscribers also agree with me as it’s back by popular demand from its first appearance in the box back in 2017! This body oil is lovely to use after a bath or shower and feels incredibly nourishing and hydrating on the skin. The natural formula helps to increase firmness and elasticity, so it’s ideal for mature skin and using on any wobbly bits.

FRUU Colour Lip Balm in Strawberry (full size, RRP £4.99)

Next up, we have a tinted lip balm from natural brand FRUU. I’ve used some of their other lip balms in the past and really liked those, so I’m excited to try this one which adds a gorgeous wash of colour to the lips. Perfect for Spring & Summer, plus these formulas are very moisturising.

Balade En Provence Apple Hand Cream (full size, RRP £9.99)

How cute is this apple shaped hand cream from the French brand Balade En Provence?! Not only is it apple shaped, but it’s also apple scented and it smells SO good! It has a formula which is 92% natural and contains 20% Shea Butter to deeply moisturise even the driest hands.

Peony Cosmetics Pink Glow Luminizing Stick (full size, RRP £16.99)

The fifth and final product in this month’s The Pip Box is another full-size item, this time from Peony Cosmetics. Their Luminizing Stick is 91% natural and gives a very flattering pinky-gold highlight to the skin. Super easy to apply (just swipe it on above the cheekbones) and blends out just as easily. Love it!
