Lula box november 2015

The Love Lula box is a monthly beauty box for natural products. The packaging is minimal with a plain white box that is easy to open. Inside the companies real beauty manifest is printed in pink and black, making their customers aware of what they stand for. I was reassured that there are no harmful chemicals and no animal testing with their choice of products.
There were 5 products and an extra small sample in November’s Love Lula box.

Laidbare Facial Masque – this is a hydrating product you apply for ten minutes and then rinse off before moisturising to reduce pores. I liked it but was unsure whether it reduced my pores. My skin did feel nice after using it though.

Odylique Replenishing Cream – this is a versatile cream that can be used day or night. I wasn’t sure about this at first as it has a strange smell. However, I used it at night and from the first morning my skin felt soft and smooth. I have fairly dry skin so this was an amazing product that worked really well for me.

FOM Contouring Body Serum – this is supposed to repair and improve skin elasticity as well as relieving dryness. I thought it helped with the dryness but didn’t notice any other changes. It’s not the sort of product I personally have much use for.

PHB Eyeliner and Moisturiser Sample – the black eyeliner is gentle for sensitive skin and the moisturiser was a small packet for a single use. The eyeliner went on easily and stayed put – I have no complaints with this product. The moisturiser smelled sweet and was very hydrating. I would definitely look out for products from this brand in the future.

Lyonsleaf Beauty Balm – this is a multi-purpose balm that can be used to clean off make-up, as well as to moisturise, and to repair dry patches of skin. This has a light, citrus scent to it and it works well as a lip balm as well as a moisturiser. I didn’t try it yet as a cleanser but I think I’ll get a lot of use out of this little pot.

The box was presented well, with a helpful card with information about the products on one side, and a code for 20% off the brands included for the month of November. There were a couple of really excellent products in this box so I might be tempted by the money off! I would have probably preferred a better mix of face creams/products and cosmetics, but the items included were all very good.

At £12.50 a month, this is a great value box for anyone who likes or is interested in trying out natural beauty products. This month’s box contained mostly moisturising products which were all really good. I probably would have preferred for one of these items to be a cosmetic product instead as this would have felt like a better variety. That said, all of the products did a great job and I’ve found a couple of new brands to add to my favourites. Overall it’s a very good value box containing great quality natural products.
