It’s that time of the month again, LookFantastic time! I always look forward to receiving the LookFantastic boxes as they are always amazing and this month is no different. Although there are a couple of products I’m not as excited by in the March box.
The March LookFantastic box is a collaboration with Elle Magazine – I love their collaboration boxes! Elle magazine has been the one magazine that I have purchased for the longest time so I was interested to see what they would come up with.
The box this month contains six products, only one of which is a full sized product, if I’m correct which is a shame but the brands included are fantastic! Also I think there is a good range of products in this months box as the products include a concealer, moisturiser, serum, instant tan finishing gloss, an eye mask and the first professional self-heating intensive conditioning hair treatment which I was very excited to try out!
The first product I tested was the Pur Disappearing Act Concealer in the shade Light which is a good shade match for me although I don’t know about the shade range as a whole. The texture of the concealer is creamy and very easy to blend, I’ve been using it on minor blemishes, redness, around my eyes and nose. While it does have a high coverage and it blends well, I find that on my dry skin it can look a little cakey and dry but if you have normal or oily skin then I think it would be fantastic.
Sticking with the theme eyes, the next product is the Starskin Smoothing Bio-Cellulose Second Skin Eye Masks. Starskin is a Korean brand and these eye masks contain a lot of natural Korean ingredients such as liquorice root extract, broccoli extract, blueberry fruit extract and more. There is only one pair of eye masks in the pack so it’s a one use item which I haven’t tried yet.
A skincare item I have tried is the Skin Chemists London Aqua Repair Facial Serum. I adore facial serums as they add such a smoothing and moisturising boost to my skincare routine that a moisturiser just doesn’t so I’m always looking to try new serums. The serum has a faint floral perfume like scent to it, it has a gel texture which feels lovely on the skin and it absorbs quickly to leave my skin smooth, soft and moisturised, ready for my day or night moisturiser.
The final facial skincare item in the box is the Caudalie VineActiv 3 in 1 Moisturiser. I’ve tried a few products from Caudalie and I loved them all, especially the fantastic beauty elixir. This moisturiser is lovely and light on the skin, it smells so spring like to me and I’ve been loving using it recently.
The only item in the March Lookfantastic box I wasn’t excited about was the St. Tropez Instant Tan Gloss which is a finishing gloss to be used on the body to add shimmer and shine. It is a wash off finishing gloss and I have to admit it looks very pretty in the tube but I don’t use fake tan or products like this so I won’t be using it but if you do like to self tan then this might be an interesting product to try!
Last but not least, my favourite product, the Redken Heat Cure Self-Heating Intensive Conditioning Hair Treatment. As with the eye mask, it’s a single use product but even with my long hair I managed to get one full use out of it. To use, you peel off the back panel and let it heat up then apply to damp hair and rinse out. I was surprised at how hot the hair treatment actually became in the packet! It left my hair very smooth, soft and moisturised – very impressed.
