LookFantastic Box: October 2016

This is my second LookFantastic box and I’m impressed yet again. The October #LFSparkle box is so christmasy and festive! I love the box design, it’s a perfect box to re-use during the upcoming christmas season! There are seven items in the box, most of which are from brands I haven’t tried before which is one of the best things about subscription boxes – I always want to try new brands and products.

IMG_7650The first item I wanted to try was the Model Co Blush in the shade Peach Bellini which is a lovely, peachy coral shade – perfect to add a natural flush to the cheeks. It has a smooth, easy to blend formula and it adds a radiant glow to the skin without being glittery or over the top.

The final makeup item in the box is the Look Good Feel Better Angled Blending Brush which is a brand that supports women with cancer – 8% to 12% of the wholesale price goes to the Look Good Feel Better charity. The brush is incredibly smooth, soft and gentle on the skin; also it has multiple uses such as blending eyeshadow, concealer or powder under the eyes.

The skincare item in the October box is from a brand that I’ve tried before and loved. The Monu Skin Soothing Touch Recovery Balm is perfect for sensitive or stressed skin. Although it isn’t a balm at all, it’s a silky and moisturising cream that leaves my skin smooth, soft, comfortable (which is really important for those with sensitive skin as I do) and moisturised.

IMG_7644Next up, a couple of hair products – the Loreal Mythic Oil which is a nourishing hair oil designed for all hair types. I have tried a sample of this hair oil previously and I loved it; I use hair oils at least once a week before I wash my hair (If I leave it on my hair for an hour or so then wash it out, it leaves my hair so smooth and soft). It comes in a large 30ml glass bottle so it will last for ages!

The second hair item is the Sebastian Volupt Spray (50ml) which again is a fantastic size for a subscription box. It’s a volume building spray-gel which is something I wouldn’t really use, partly because I have quite long, thick hair and secondly, I can never be bothered with hair gel. It’s the only item in the box that I’m not 100% happy with.

IMG_7643The penultimate item is my favourite product from the box, the Bloom & Blossom Revitalising Leg and Foot Spray. Usually I don’t use products like this but this one smells incredible – it has a gorgeous, light and natural scent. It refreshes the skin, absorbs really quickly and will be perfect in the summer; additionally 97% of the ingredients are natural.

Additionally with every box you receive a card showing the contents and a travel/smaller copy of the latest issue of Elle UK magazine which is a fantastic bonus item that most subscription boxes don’t include – as well as a glittery nail file.

Our score: 7.8/ 10

Overall, the LookFantastic October box is another great beauty box and I love the range of items and brands included. My favourite items have to be the Bloom and Blossom Spray, Loreal Hair Oil and the pretty Model Co Blush. I'm also really happy with the additional extras included such as the magazine and nail file.
