I’ve tried so many subscription boxes, from food and lifestyle focused boxes to beauty, crafting and geeky boxes but this is the first hosiery/tights subscription box service that I have heard of! This is the first international Gambettes Box which is a French subscription box service in which you receive two pairs of tights each month for £13.90 (€15.90) that are inspired by the streets of Paris.
I think it is such an interesting and unique idea for a subscription box and I’m all on board especially as it is now officially autumn so I will be wearing dresses, tights and ankle boots constantly from now until spring! The tights came in a box which looked as though it was a glossy magazine which is another unique aspect of the box. In the September box, the tights include: ‘paresse’ and ‘luxure’ which are 40 and 20 denier respectively and while I don’t opt for patterned tights all of the time as they’re a little out of my comfort zone, I do love these!
Let’s start with my favourite pair of tights from the two I received in the September Gambettes Box, the ‘luxure’ tights which are 20 denier polkadot tights. I chose a size ‘medium’ for my box and it is a perfect fit for me – for reference, I’m a small UK 10 but if you are unsure what size to choose, they do have a useful size guide on their website. The polkadot tights are perfect for me as I love to clash prints; I think they look great with an autumnal check shirt dress and heeled ankle boots!
The second pair I received were the ‘paresse’ black lace tights which are 40 denier and again, I love the pattern! Both pairs are going to be autumn essentials for me, especially with jumper dresses as the weather is getting chilly now (which I love!). They’re both comfortable, easy to pair with so many outfits particularly at this time of the year as you just need to throw on a dress or faux leather skirt, chunky knit and boots then you’re ready and the size/length are perfect.
My favourite pair of the two have to be the cute polkadot tights but I do love both and I know I’m going to be wearing them so much over the upcoming autumn months. The quality seems fantastic especially for the price, the designs are a little out of my comfort zone so it’s great to try something different and I cannot wait to see what the next box contains!
