It’s time for the first Gambettes Box review of the new year! Last months box was the best yet as it came with a gorgeous velvet forest green pouch. Sadly, the January box didn’t come with a pouch but the tights are both gorgeous and perfect for the remaining winter months.
The January box arrived a couple of days ago and as always I receive the Medium size. The size I have fits well and I am a UK size 8 for reference. If you are unsure of what size you will need, you can use their very useful size guide. You can find the size guide on their website. The packaging for each box is so cute as it is reminiscent of a glossy fashion magazine which I like, although I do think that a pouch is more luxe and practical than a cardboard box. I hope they bring back the cute pouch idea from the December box to future boxes!
I’ll start with the ‘Gadins’ tights which are black bunting tights. The tights are a little bit similar to previous tights but I will still wear them! They are 30 denier tights, they are very comfortable and easy to wear. They feel fairly thick even though they are only 30 denier. I’ve paired them with a cute checkered dress, ankle boots and a black faux leather jacket which is a typical winter outfit for me.
The second and final tight of tights included in the January Gambettes box are the ‘Patins’ tights. They are very unique grey tights with black polkadots. The tights are a little thicker and more opaque compared to the ‘Gardins’ tights at 50 denier. To me, they look so cosy and soft! They are perfect when paired with a fluffy grey jumper dress and black heeled ankle boots and I think I will get so much use out of these tights.
