First Wonder Box has been created by the same people who publish First News, a newspaper for children This new box is aimed at kids age 4 – 8. Little C is seven and a half, so is a good age to try this out!
Who doesn’t love silly jokes? The box itself fits through the mailbox, and is addressed directly to your child.
Here’s everything about this month’s box.
This is the biff bat! It’s one of those fun yet infuriating toys. There’s a rubber ball attached to the bat with elastic and you try to bat it repeatedly. I’m rubbish at it, as is Little C, but it’s still fun!
The activity booklet is excellent.
There’s tons of stuff to learn and do.
There’s even a bunch of exercises to do with the included egg timer. (I like the look of the burpees, I do the CrossFit ones and the ones in the activity book look much easier!)
Even the box has an activity, sticking on all different parts of the body. Little C has some great books about the human body that she loves reading, so this was a great way to test her knowledge! She did pretty well.
There was a fun craft to make, a little skeleton. It didn’t take long but it looked great. You can see the pencil that was included, plus there’s cool skeleton eraser that Little C is holding (mostly covered up!)
As always, this is so impressive. There’s a nice little assortment of things to use, make, and do, and the education value is very high. Learning about healthy stuff can be a little preachy, but this was handled in a really clear fun way. I like the idea of timing doing different activities, a great way to get some competition going with other siblings or parents!
