Designer Box is a wonderful homeware monthly subscription service which gives you the opportunity to grow your home accessory/decor collection with unique exclusive items from the French based company. Becoming a subscriber is easy and you can choose to subscribe to 3, 6 or 12 months starting at £29 per month, every box will arrive with the contents all in the beautifully decorative wooden boxes which are a show piece themselves. Joining Designer Box is the opportunity to beautify your home space with very unique items from exclusive designers (showcasing some of their best work) as well as learning the story behind the monthly designer with the addition of the Iconic News included in each box.
Every month you will receive a newly numbered wooden box, inside will be a unique piece of art/home accessory from one of Designer Boxes exclusive designers. You will also receive a copy of The Iconic News with information about the designer and their work as well as pertinent news and inspiration from the home decor world. Every box will come with a certificate of authenticity and expect to find a least one other decor treat such as an art print inside the box each month.
The wooden box which the contents comes in is as I have said a beauty in itself and useful for storage and the number on the top of the lid denotes which designers work will be inside, for all the information about the designers included in the subscription take a look at their website to give you some idea of what to expect. Subscribing to the Designer Box and such a unique service, gives you the chance to extend your home accessories and art and the surprise unveiling every month is really special as you are assured it will be unique and beautiful. The fact you won’t get any repeat boxes is ideal as every month’s box will be different so no change of any duplicates.
This month’s elegant piece was from the German designer Louisa Kober, a young designer who produces innovative, beautiful, simple and textural pieces to beautify any home. The vase she designed for this month’s box is every bit practical as it is stunning, fill the vase with a huge bunch of wildflowers or chose some long bouquets to give it plenty of height. The texture of the enameled vase is slightly rough except for the smooth, gloss finish on the underside where a cleverly moulded niche leaves room as Louisa intended to hold pot-pourri to cleverly and invisibly scent the room. A lovely and practical piece to add to the home which looks beautiful with or without a bouquet of flowers.
Also included is a fun cactus DIY to make and I really like the fun element added in each month as well as such an informative publication to read and learn about the designer. This has become such a treat to receive as the pieces are collectable, beautiful and make the home look so decorative. The exclusive and unique element to the subscription gives it that extra element and value for money each month is really high considering the contents and designer element. Each month it’s a subscription I really look forward to as the anticipation of what will be inside is high and I like the surprise element of not knowing which designer it will be and of course what the piece will be. Certainly a subscription idea to beautify your home with and learn so much about wonderful European designers.
