Boxcitement – March 2018: A global goodie bonanza

I am a big fan of the way Boxcitement manage to curate a unique set of gifts that are all part of a well thought out theme. The March Boxcitement box had a theme of Globetrotter and the contents definitely didn’t disappoint.

The box contained:

  • A Union Jack fellt pouch, suitable for either your sunglasses or your phone
  • A Russian Doll keyring
  • A quirky pair of Oriental inspired earrings
  • A set of stunning travel postcards
  • A funky chopstick set and stone to rest them on
  • A pair of luckyh socks
  • And a set of vinyl wall stickers based on Portuegese azulejos tiles

Highlights

My favourite goodies were definitely the earrings, I wore them to my son’s party and received lots of compliments. I particularly love that they didn’t make any pair the same so every subscribed got their own unique set of earrings. I also thought that the socks were a brilliant touch too. The star print because they are inspired by Las Vegas and lady luck. I’ve not had any sudden unexpected windfalls since wearing mine but I did spot two magpies the other day so…

The Portuguese tile inspired wall stickers were also a great touch this month. I was thinking of using them in our kitchen but spotted a few other subscribers discussing them on Instagram and saw that one person was looking to turn them into coasters by sticking them to exisiting basic/plain ones and trimming them to fit. What a fantastic idea and something I intend to do. I love that Boxcitement seems to have created their own community and that its still possible to be inspired by something completely unexpected!

New tricks

A new addition this month was the mini magazine which I really liked. It explained a bit more about the theme and the contents as well as providing links to free Easter downloads which I thought was a lovely touch. Overall I think this is my favourite Boxcitement box to date and I will absolutley find a place and a role for every single item (my son has already caimed the chopsticks!)

Our score: 9.8/ 10

I wanted to give a full 10 out of 10 across the board but I felt that was a little unfair; everyone always needs a bit of room for improvement. I could only find fault in one area...the cost; whilst I think the price (£18 per box) is worth it I am aware that does make it out of reach for some people. I do think that with a few simple sacrifices (one less coffee or cake/treat per week would easily cover the cost) it is achievable and definitely worth the investment. It's such a wonderful gift to pop through your letterbox each month.
