Birchbox – July 2016: Never Ending Summer

Birchbox teamed up with Millie Mackintosh this month to put together their “Never Ending Summer” box.  No one does pretty boxes better than Birchbox and this one is gorgeous, I absolutely love the watercolour design.  I was super happy to see the return of their adorable drawstring bag which didn’t feature in last months box.  The contents screamed everything you need for the summer, from products to tackle frizzy hair in the humidity to the perfect summer lip shade.

LOC x Millie – Ultra Gloss Lip Pencil in Bohemian Rose

This colour was formulated and named by Millie Mackintosh.  I’m not usually a fan of lip pencils as they tend to be quite drying but this one is amazingly hydrating, perfectly pigmented and long lasting.  I’m quite the fan!  The glossy pink is an all round shade which I imagine looks gorgeous on all skintones.  It’s such a perfect summer colour, albeit a touch too bubblegum pink toned for me.  Also, I adore the pretty name!

John Frieda – Frizz Ease Forever Smooth Anti-Frizz Primer

As I’m not generally prone to frizz, I would definitely have preferred the alternative option, the Luxurious 7 Day Volume In-Shower Treatment.

This Anti-Frizz Primer realigns the structure of your hair to fight frizz from the inside out.  It contains a blend of pure coconut oil and glycerides that work to fight the onset of frizz and improve your hair’s texture and manageability for noticeably smoother hair.  It also smells really lovely.  This generous sized bottle should see you through the summer and then some!

Nails Inc. – Oxford Street

Nails Inc. polishes are one of my favourite brands, plus I love how their colours are all named after places in London.  I’m going to guess this muddy brown shade isn’t for everyone but I absolutely love it.  I’m just waiting for Autumn to roll on so I can wear it.  For those that aren’t keen on the colour, the colour selection is assorted and I’ve spied alternative beautiful colours from other boxes.

Caudalie- Micellar Cleansing Water

Caudalie is one of my favourite skincare brands, so I’m always happy to see them included.  Micellar water is often just the ticket on those late nights you can’t be bothered with your full skincare regime.  It’s really effective at removing dirt and impurities, my only critique is it’s a little soapy feeling but the gorgeous orange and lemon blossom scent more than makes up for it.  As with all Caudalie products, it’s great for sensitive skin.

Indeed Labs – Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Mask 

I absolutely LOVE the sound of this.  I’m obsessed with the science behind hyaluronic acid and the incredible effects it can have on your skin.  This innovative sheet mask offers a unique approach to hydration – releasing hyaluronic acid slowly into the skin over time for longer lasting relief for dry skin.  It continues to hydrate your skin from beneath the surface for 24 hours.  This would be ideal during or after a long haul flight.  It’s basically a big drink of water for your complexion.
